The boot disk was found, however they have a Compaq computer and I have (as mentioned ad nauseum) an IBM. Normal Hard Drive Sounds You are now giving the disk power but no data signal. Put it on a floppy. But don't try to repair anything with it just yet, because you don't know exactly what is wrong.
