I tried updating the wifi card driver, but still, no resolution. Has anyone heard of a way to stop it from searching for new networks after it is already connected? Reset Your TCP/IP Manually Sometimes, you may just need to reset your TCP/IP. This can easily be done at the command line in Windows. thanks alot. Running windows network diagnostics tool - it helped in restarting the wifi connection, but did not help in preventing another wifi lock-out within a few minutes.
