ANSWER HERE !!!!I was having the same problem until...You open up the Control Editor for Maschine and then everything is fixed. The Midi Out 2 on my 002 controller is blinking on playback as its reading the notes on the staff. but I am opening Old files where i have since changed to new interface... Like I said, I was having the same issue and this fixed it for me. Azerty kb.
You are bringing up an interesting point with the two cables though: As my keyboard is only a triggering device, it doesn't have an midi in. Switch your midi cables. That means that the signal of your keyboard is getting into Logic. It also said that the MIDI IN should be plugged into the keyboard end, which sounds weird.
For a while it worked and everything sounded good but as I added on more instruments and sounds all of the sudden certain midi parts would just not play.
